The Wild North is located within the traditional homeland of the Ojibwe and Dakota people. These lands were ceded to the United States by the Ojibwe in an 1854 treaty, and this land holds great historical, spiritual, and personal significance for its original stewards, the Native nations and peoples of this region. We want to recognize the history of this land as an expression of gratitude and appreciation. Miigwech, thank you.
